I used to think about getting a sock just to do a proper flounce. Then I realized why bother? No one there would really care and they would just call me all sort of bad names. I mean they did the same when we were all purged originally. Why placate their egos into making them believe they are still relevant?

I stopped posting there regularly several months ago and scaled back to just checking it for laughs. Now I don’t do that anymore – it’s so tedious and predictable, and commenters so obviously terrified of whatever purge is coming down the pike.

If the Wally were any kind of thinking adult, he would close his site to comments. That would mean his opinions and analysis (“nontroversy” “bad crazy” ) would have to stand alone, unsupported by his cult followers, un-updinged, for all the world to see. Why should he keep that space open for the sophomoric, earnest pontifications of the universal expert LVQ? The acid apercus of Cato? Why give himself the headache of watching out for flounces and insults (as B-in-B’s bravura effort). Does anyone other than a former or current commenter who knows the soap-opera visit that site for the wit and wisdom of any commenters? ( I certainly never read the comments before I was so irritated by the Spencer/Geller war and the DHS memorandum that I decided to comment – only to fall afoul of the orthodoxy and be accused of being a troll, a term I was completely unfamiliar with.)
Come on, Mr. Johnson, test your intellectual heft. Abandon your claques, court jesters, and bootlickers – each one of whom, do not forget, is a potential stalker. Give your correlator tool a rest. Stop fighting socks. . Give yourself time for serious reading and thinking. You might find that you have something to say.
