Celticdragon is describing subduction zones, as a way of disposing of hazardous (including nuclear) waste. Subductions zones exist at plate boundaries (such as the west coast), not in the gulf. So the LGF science czar is puzzled as to why, with material flowing downward in the subduction zones, that the oil well in the gulf has pressure. Maybe because it’s nowhere near a subduction zone? Maybe all that gas in there just might have something to do with all that pressure? Just a guess…
