A Challenge to Mr. Johnson

June 1, 2010

Mr. Johnson has made it extremely clear that he believes in an extreme interpretation of “Separation of Church and State”. That’s a clear and defensible position. However, the criticism that flows from that has been exclusively toward Christians and Jews on the political “right”.

According to this article:

Pelosi Says She Has a Duty to Pursue Policies in Keeping With The Values of Jesus, ‘The Word Made Flesh’

States the Speaker:

“And that Word,” Pelosi said, “is, we have to give voice to what that means in terms of public policy that would be in keeping with the values of the Word.

So here’s the challenge: Write a post condemning this theocracy.

I’m waiting.

Frankly this quote seems much more like a call to Theocracy than anything I have seen from lfg

Right. Johnson may twist himself into pretzels arguing why this isn’t theocracy, but one thing is certain: if a Republican congressman from Oklahoma or a televangelist or a Vatican spokesman had said the exact same words, he’s be all over this in full outrage mode.

Maybe he doesn’t care because he knows Pelosi is full of it. She just claims to know the word and to want policies that are in line~ her actions prove otherwise.

But it’s not like cj needs a reason to be a hypocrite. It seems to come naturally.
