Husky Ponytailed Blogger: Imam Behind Ground Zero Mosque A “Moderate Muslim Facing a Barrage of False Claims and Bigotry”…

Since Chuckles sent one of his trolls to stir up trouble on WZ and attempt to paint us all as waaacists I’ve taken it upon myself to intensify the beatings…

Immediately after 9/11 the “moderate” Imam Abdul Rauf claimed U.S. policies made America “an accessory” to 9/11:

BRADLEY: Are — are — are you in any way suggesting that we in the United States deserved what happened?

Imam ABDUL RAUF: I wouldn’t say that the United States deserved what happened, but the United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened.

BRADLEY: OK. You say that we’re an accessory?

Imam ABDUL RAUF: Yes.

BRADLEY: How?

Imam ABDUL RAUF: Because we have been an accessory to a lot of — of innocent lives dying in the world. In fact, it — in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA [he's referring to US support for Israel — ed.]

Christians are the real war criminals, West “must apologize to Muslims” before global jihad will cease:

The US and the West must acknowledge the harm they have done to Muslims before terrorism can end, says an Islamic cleric invited to Sydney by Premier Bob Carr.

“The Islamic method of waging war is not to kill innocent civilians. But it was Christians in World War II who bombed civilians in Dresden and Hiroshima, neither of which were military targets.” (Sydney Morning Herald)

Refuses to condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization:

(NY Post) — The imam behind plans to build a controversial Ground Zero mosque yesterday refused to describe Hamas as a terrorist organization.

According to the State Department’s assessment, “Hamas terrorists, especially those in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, have conducted many attacks, including large-scale suicide bombings, against Israeli civilian and military targets.”

Asked if he agreed with the State Department’s assessment, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf told WABC radio, “Look, I’m not a politician.

“The issue of terrorism is a very complex question,” he told interviewer Aaron Klein.

“There was an attempt in the ’90s to have the UN define what terrorism is and say who was a terrorist. There was no ability to get agreement on that.”

Asked again for his opinion on Hamas, an exasperated Rauf wouldn’t budge.

“I am a peace builder. I will not allow anybody to put me in a position where I am seen by any party in the world as an adversary or as an enemy,” Rauf said, insisting that he wants to see peace in Israel between Jews and Arabs.

He’s also directly tied to the Islamist flotilla that tried to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza:

The imam behind a proposed mosque near Ground Zero is a prominent member of a group that helped sponsor the pro-Palestinian activists who clashed violently with Israeli commandos at sea this week.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is a key figure in Malaysian-based Perdana Global Peace Organization, according to its Website.

Perdana is the single biggest donor ($366,000) so far to the Free Gaza Movement, a key organizer of the six-ship flotilla that tried to break Israel’s blockade of the Hamas-run Gaza Strip Monday.

Nine passengers aboard the largest ship died in clashes with Israeli commandos, and a new confrontation loomed today, when another Free Gaza Movement ship was due to reach Gaza waters in defiance of Israel.

Here’s a direct link to the Perdana Global Peace Organization’s website highlighting Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf.

And just two years ago CJ was posting stories like this:

By CJ logic, that makes him responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

If I was still there I would simply keep posting Chucky’s own words from a few years ago.

He can’t run from his past. Even if he tries, he’s too fat and slow

He posted on this guy years ago calling him a “moderate muslim” with quotes around the words, which would seem to express his sarcastic doubts on that point.

He’s waiting for the court to rule on the legality of marriage to blow-up dolls. The decision should come down any day now.

When did the Hizb al-Ikhwan al-Muslimin-linked Imam every say he supports Israel? How does CJ lie with such impunity?

Also, I don’t see how the futuhat (conquests) of Hungary, Neuhäusel, Bessarabia, Otranto, Slavonia, Dobrogea, Podolia, and Fellsdorf by the Turks are the fault of AmeriKKKa…

The imam is a radical Muslim who has been falsely accused of being moderate.

A quote from CJ himself regarding the imam:

    http://littlegreenfootballs.com/showc/19/311610

Ben F: however, the problem is that the people who are “teaching” the FBI about Islam are in fact Saudi-sponsored radicals themselves, often from groups such as the American Muslim Council and CAIR. This is much worse than honest sensitivity training, in my opinion; it’s deliberate whitewashing and concealment of the truth.

Chuck has put his foot in it again. This imam is not the sort of man anyone would want to defend. Once again, Chuck allows his hatred of Geller and Spencer to get in the way of him making a rational judgement. Fool.
