Scientists claim that the essentially linear [Chuck: that means following a straight line. -ed] warming trend that began around 1800 (save for a slight drop from 1940-1970) is caused by anthropogenic greenhouse gasses. The fact that James Watt didn’t invent his infernal engine until 1835 and GG’s didn’t amount to squat until 1930 or so doesn’t bother them, but GG’s are the best explanation for the warming trend (the last half of it, anyway) so skeptics must be dimwitted fundamentalist religious idiots. Guess that makes sense.
LGF has become rather sad fossil of something great. Check it once a month and still salute Charles for his role in disrupting the Bush/National Guard hoax. Wish Charles well and hope he recovers.

There are over 10^186 ways that words in a standard dictionary could result in that disemvowelation, and other than the ‘dts’ ‘idiots’ you appear to have the right one. (Rather amazing bit of human, non-artificial intelligence – makes me wonder how a task like this compares to the venerable Turing Test when it comes to stressing the limits of a machine’s artificial intelligence.)
It was mischaracterizations like this and worse – seeing comments in real time that Charles immediately disappeared and then utterly, maliciously lied about – that made it impossible for me to stay there in good conscience.
And the irony – Charles, invoking the name of science to excommunicate someone for questioning the LGF religion that AGW has become – it burns.
He didn’t exactly lie about anything, but he would if given the chance!
