Economic Ignorance

August 27, 2010

The Jazz Man is a jerk of all trades and clearly a master of none. This is reflected in his readers, many of whom are very economically ignorant.

Clearly these fools know nothing of Economics. They probably got their economic lessons from the University of Little Green Footballs. They really believe the government can create jobs and high taxes will pay off the debt. As we know, the more the government takes out of the economy, the less revenue it gets as economic growth stagnates.

    Freaking 20 year old morons
    1. Government never creates wealth. Government can create an environment where wealth is created for those with ingenuity, ambition and smarts.
    2. Raising taxes kills jobs
    3. Wait until these morons graduate and find themselves looking for jobs that does not exist.

What is this “graduation” of which you speak? These morons will never see it, so worrying about finding a job is not in their future. They’ll go to work for the State, just like their parents…

Lower taxes, Chuckie, will enable people of ALL income levels to purchase more.

Tax receipts increased after the passing of the Bush tax cuts. And let’s see what happens when those cuts expire across the board in January. Not to mention the current Alternative Minimum Tax.

Raise taxes until the debt is gone? Who the fuck is this person and have they ever heard of SPENDING?

They’ll raise taxes and turn around and spend even more money!

Amory Blaine makes noise like he is in the 48% that don’t pay any taxes at all. Because if you DO pay taxes, you have a complete sense of outrage at the spending by the government.

And by the way, Amory, if you think the government will take all that wonderful new tax money and use it to reduce the deficit, I have a Social Security program to sell to you….

I beg to differ with Ronaldus. A few more people on the tax rolls would change the political dynamics for the better. TFK is allowed to be taxfree because of his sacrifice to his country, but these losers at LGF should have their twinkie money taken by Uncle Sam. That just might cause a rethinking of things, but prolly not, since that requires a brain.

Where to begin… IF you cut taxes people will have more money to spend because less is going to gov’t. Therefore thy will buy stuff, this will cause businesses to hire more people. The the new hire, who will now have more money will buy more stuff, which will enable more/other business to hire even more people.

More Deficit spending to fix “infrastructure.” Where have I heard that before, oh yeah Obama & Co. We see how well that has worked. If your in debt, when it is ever a good idea to dig yourself in deeper to get out of debt? Anyone?

If your in debt personally it’s not a good idea to say, remodel you kitchen so it has all granite counters for the future when you not in debt. Maybe replace a broken stove, but not remodel it. Why do they think this makes sense for the government.

“Where to begin”, exactly. This isn’t exactly advanced econ, this is pretty basic high-school stuff of how Keynesian econ is supposed to work. If I was this weak, I wouldn’t be advertising it on a blog. But then again consider the blog.

They’re fine with this because they have nothing.

Two of the most well known sycophants are unemployed, often bitching and moaning about not having any money, and how we all need to help foot their bill.

Think about it. Sharmuta begging for money according to IW, Irish Rose getting to see her son via the good will of Realwest & others. Charles asking for you to hit the fucking tip jar.

The are panhandlers who consider themselves enititled to the fruits of your hard labor.

Killgore, you decided to become a luthier. Nobody else made that decision for you. Totally amazing you can’t make it on that salary, esecially given your location & the propensity for people blowing wind out their ass.

These are the same people who voted for the result we have now. Their votes have enslaved everyone via debt to this nation.

Has anyone noticed that there are never any postings on economic matters over at Johnsontown? I know, it’s a national security blog and all, but one that didn’t know better might think that the blogmaster was trying to avoid the topic of our failing economy.

One of the older quasi-conservative (it’s so hard to tell) posters at Johnsontown referred to MSM over-coverage of the mosque affair as a method of distraction from the economy.

Of course, one of the high schoolers over there immediately cast this as a direct criticism of Charles, thereby putting the original poster in full-retreat mode.

There is no discussion over there anymore. It is inane dribblings over concepts they know nothing about, with the ultimate goal of the thread to tell Chunky the Wonder Twit how important he is to the well-being of the United States political scene and how Democracy is only safe today because He’s Here.

At this point, it would not surprise me that Chunky runs around the neighborhood in the dead of night in a leotard, tights and a cape yelling “There’s no need to fear! Wonder Twit is here!

WASVS :Lower taxes, Chuckie, will enable people of ALL income levels to purchase more.

Exactly and since we pay taxes on the things we spend…then more money is in
going to government. Raising taxes on companies and saddling them down with moronic other taxes especially with obamacare is making company’s cut employee’s.
People are losing jobs. Company’s are not hiring.
Less jobs, less money, less people spend. Not to mention more people on unemployment which also doesn’t help with the defeict.
These people have gone around the bend. They are as ignorant as their posts if not more.

“Supply side economics assumes that people at the top end will just start spending money on employees and equipment out of the goodness of their hearts.”

Does he not understand what capitalism is? People take their capital and invest it with the hope of a profitable return. If they have more capital to invest, they’re likely to do so because it may bring a more profitable return. Naturally, this is dependent on other factors in the economic environment, but it’s common sense that if a businessman has more money at his disposal the likeliest outcome is that he will put that money into his business. It has nothing to do with the “goodness” of his heart, it’s just human nature.

Not to mention do any of these jokers run a household. This is taking it to the bare bones of it all. If you are in debt….you do not create more debt and spend wildly on things that you don’t need.
You trim down and start paying off debt…not borrow from Peter to pay Paul.

From someone squarely in the middle class, who pays taxes, if you take more money from me in taxes, the first thing I do is cut expenditures. That means the multiple music lessons, the chemlawn, the dancing lessons, the select sport clubs, the fitness membership, the movies and dining out, the daily newspaper and fewer shopping trips ie no new sneakers for the first day of school. The worse it gets, ie higher taxes and fees, the less I will buy and spend and deeper I will cut. I dont know where you guys live but middle class suburban families pay tons of taxes and spend a lot of money on their kids. This trickles way way down into the business sector. Get it LGF morons, my money fuels many small independent businesses, not a government spending scheme that stops growth and consumer spending when the govt. $$ stops flowing. I suspect they are too young to have good jobs or families at the new LGF. They are foolish. Let them pay more taxes. Sure, dig right into that 45% that doesn’t pay anything. LOL.

While I agree that the government should lower taxes to raise the economy, if they were to create jobs by creating infrastructure projects, in theory that should also increase the economy because those people with work would have more money to spend. It really follows the same train of thought. The only problem is that the infrastructure projects have not increased jobs by a significant figure, thus it has done nothing to help the economy
