Good job, Cato!

Speed the day when you will decide who is smart enough to think.
After that, the rest of us will merely drink.
Your élitism smiles the fascist smirk.

    Heh, spot on old boy!*

    * Yes, yes I know, sometimes a grouchy and mean old boy, but a masterful mocker.

    • September 1, 2010 at 11:31 pm | #2

Intelligence of the masses, as a group, trumps that of the elitists who make decisions on things they have no knowlege of or experience with; and experience trumps them every time.

As to you Cato, seeing you defend the Palin side of the education debate is disgusting. You should be ashamed.

Oh, I am. So deeply ashamed. For wasting my remaining time. With a math fascist like you.

Ya notice Lewd Wig has been testing the posting waters lately?

I sense that he’s been trying to determine how far he can bend the blog curve towards techno-fascism, and so far he seems to be doing pretty well, if one uses Chuckholz’s non-reactions to some pretty zany shit as a measure.

  6. September 1, 2010 at 11:33 pm | #7

    Good point.

I noticed when perusing the insane manifesto of the Discovery Channel terrorist, that he read just like LudwigVanQuixote! No real surprise there.

Yup. I don’t think he understands that his philosophy is nothing more than ‘We have to kill democracy in order to save it’. If he did, then perhaps he would be able to comprehend the illogic of his own position. Funny that he can’t, considering his self-proclaimed smarts.

Let me be a little more direct. This guy is quite impressed with his own ability to do 9th grade math. What does that tell you?

Also telling is the fact that someone in the thread presented an algebra “paradox” to prove 2=1. There was an obvious flaw in it. Ludwig didn’t comment. If he was really such a math hot shot, don’t you think he would have?

Here’s the problem. Old Roman Cato believes that, for all cases, x=10.

Yep, every time I challenged Ludwig on a matter of actual science he did the same thing, skirted over it and either tried distraction or insults.

Ludwig reads science at the Reader’s Digest level. He knows enough to sound clever, but is way out of his depth when discussing the actual science.

Bingo. Reads wikipedia, cuts, pastes, throws jargon around, and ducks when asked anything substantive. He’s usually clever enough to avoid saying anything really boneheaded, but every once in a while fucks up and blurts out a ludicrous boner.

I mean for gawd’s sake, algebra???

Will the Wally post about the Hamas killings of Israelis?
He seems obsessed by the T-shirts saying “Islam is of the devil”. A fair statement of Islamic ethics.

It is a far greater evil in his mind to call an evil ideology evil, than it is for the evil ideology to kill.

    He is an ethofascist eliminationist.

We should keep abreast of this clash of Titans. Cato v. Loodie-doodle-doo. Thanks, Bagua.

OK, explain in your own words, what entropy is.

    Or how about this:

Recently Iran started fueling a heavy water reactor.

Why is a heavy water design such a big deal in terms of security?

    Or how about this:

Explain to me the meaning of the fifth amendment and how that was designed to prevent torture of suspects?

    Good luck!

Phony scientist. Iran recently began fuelling a light water reactor, not a heavy water reactor. Both are a proliferation risk as both produce plutonium.

The only reason there are claims that the Iranian Light Water reactor in Bushehr is less of a proliferation risk is because the Russians are expected to take back the spent fuel rods.

A heavy water reactor is considered more of a proliferation risk because it does not require the uranium used to be enriched. All that is needed is natural uranium. The heavy water reactor also creates more plutonium for a similar amount of uranium.

But this is largely irrelevant as the Iranians are now able to enrich uranium. They will now be able to enrich uranium and make plutonium with their light water reactor, or further enrich the uranium to weapons grade. And they continue work on a heavy water reactor as a second means of producing plutonium and a third route to nuclear weapons.

That was a funny thread! The silly libtards are eating each other. The Merkin Man is unhinged again, and showing his ridiculously-bad disguise as a professor to be as wacky as his “billions will die!”-speech promised…anyone with real knowledge of the AGW-myth saw through his act early on.

Cato will be banned soon. Merkin has issued the threat, and he usually delivers the stick within a few days of that. Merkin is Charles, and Charles is Merkin. LOL!

  20. September 2, 2010 at 2:49 am | #24

    (Cross-posted from 2.0)

Nope. LVQ is more intelligent and far better educated than Charles. It wouldn’t be possible for Charles to write what LVQ does. Also, their psycho-pathologies are similar, but not the same. Charles tolerates Ludwig’s extremes because he relies on Ludwig to argue his side for him on the subject of AGW.

Charles is a fairly superficial intellectually, self educated smear merchant, who nevertheless has it right regarding Israel. And deserves credit for the latter.

Charles is a linker, not a thinker.

Ludwig is well educated and intelligent, but he has no common sense, no boundaries, is a malignant narcissist and deserving only of mockery and scorn.

Most certainly different people, but nevertheless two cheeks of the same ass.

      September 2, 2010 at 9:45 am | #25

yes, Charels routinely uses others (with his backing and The Stick as muscle) to argue for him. LVQ is only the latest. It started with Kejda and her husband back during the 2007 issues. Then, he let the gangdingers form at the beginning of his Great Purge. Then it was iceweasel and Jimmah going from thread to thread, attacking anybody who was deemed suspect. Now it’s LVQ and the theam of SFZ, Thanos, and reine (Fran ***** from Baton Rogue, LA). Not surprisingly, every time he has used a proxy to fight (andthen ban) for him, it has been a team. And woe to the account of anybody who stood up to them.

That is just disgusting, stalking a woman like that, posting her real name and location on the internet.

This is worse behaviour than anything Ludwig has ever done.

He also tolerates LvQ because he likes the general unhinged Godwin rants. There’s not a millimeter of gap between them on tea partiers or Palin or Geller. But then again, Cato’s pretty much in that barrel too.

  21. September 2, 2010 at 5:51 am | #28

Wait, a shibboleth is what? An abomination? That’s the first time I’ve heard that and I read pretty heavily in all sorts of things.

Shibboleth was just a word that Ephraimites couldn’t pronounce properly. It’s no “abomination”, in modern parlance it just means words that identify a culture, or a pejorative describing a symbolic phrase who’s meaning has been lost and is used purely as a cultural touch-stone. Like “hate crime” to the left.

Not an abominiation as far as I know. Can someone who’s jewish and knows the customary law correct me on this?

    • garycooper
      September 2, 2010 at 8:04 am | #29

You’re right — the Jewish Intellectual And Physics Professor completely whiffed on the definition of shibboleth. The word has nothing to do with “abomination.”

Bagua, you may well be correct about the Merkin Manque, but I still go back to my own banning, which was administered either by Merk himself, or in close collusion with Chunky. I was engaged in snark with Merk, he dared me to continue, I did, and suddenly I was out on my ear. Laughing all the way, but still out. The two have a curious relationship, at the very least.

I think I might know why numbskull Merkin Man coughed up the term “shibboleth” last night. I’ve heard him quoting (cut-and-pasting) H.P. Lovecraft at length in the past, who is an old favorite of mine (high school, thereabouts). A lot of his made-up words have that kind of structure, and of course most of his writing was about “the unspeakable.” Not that it’s the least bit important, but it’s just one of those things that lurks around in the back of your brain, teasing you until you track it down.
