Like the Loozard who dared to criticize him (amazingly, there’s more than a few) correctly noted, he should have noted he edited his post, instead he just flushed the most important part down the memory hole. OT: Something doesn’t jive with his self-published statistics, ever since he took down Sitemeter he publishes what he claims are his stats. Most day between 60-80K hits but there is no way that is accurate. According to Compete Analytics (which is very reputable) he only gets 89K unique hits a MONTH.
Now I know traffic stats aren’t always based on unique hits, but someone who gets 89K individuals a month is claiming they translate to almost that much on a daily basis?
I heard that he set something up that whenever you refresh the page it counts as a hit.
A refresh is a hit, just not a unique one.

Admins: I had a couple of my timeless posts end up in the spam filter trap, presumably because they mentioned the nics of a couple of particular loozards (the un-disemvoweled ‘spcjss’ and rgnld prrn’).
Now I’m good for plenty more timeless posts, so that’s no great loss, but I am curious what you’re trying to accomplish by getting the spam filter to trigger on those nics. If anything I would have guessed you’re trying to prevent those loozards from posting here, which tactic would be effective only if they mention their own nics.

LGF, its host, and its commenters – lately all beneath contempt – have moved themselves to beyond ridicule, and that’s the end of it.
Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs was one of the first people to refer to bloggers as “Citizen Journalists”. He was right. Bloggers reported news that the MSM did not report, or reported news from a different angle from the MSM. In many cases they mocked professional journalists, or exposed their lack of ethics in some cases and held them to their own codes of conduct. What was never stated but was obvious, was that the same codes of conduct and ethics also applied to bloggers and “citizen journalists”. The only people who can ensure that bloggers operate within those parameters are other members of the blogosphere and in this case they have done their duty superbly.
Everyone is aware that Little Green Footballs has done a u-turn in its outlook. While we cannot understand why Johnson took this turn, we all understand that he was in his rights to do so. However, while we recognize the right to change the direction of his site, to tamper with the archives to try and sugar-coat his previous record is a colossal violation of the ethics and codes of conduct that apply to all journalists, be they professional, “MSM”, or “citizen”.
In 2004 Charles Johnson famously forced CBS News to keep operating within the parameters set by those ethics and codes of conduct during the “Rathergate”, scandal. As a result, at least four people, including Mary Mapes, lost their jobs and their source of income.
How Johnson crowed. We all did! What we never expected in those days was that Johnson would eventually commit what is essentially the same transgression. His credibility is shot. His attempts to brush this transgression off with “I’ve been caught making a mistake” will not wash. That was the same excuse used by the “Rathergate” quartet. It was not a mistake but a deliberate action. His word can never again be taken seriously by anybody ever again. His current posters should seriously think about their association with the site. Those who have been banned from the site or those who walked or “flounced” away should thank their lucky stars.
However, the fact remains, Dan Rather, Mary Mapes and their associates lost their income and good standing because they did what Johnson has done, and Johnson held them accountable. Although the stakes are less, the same principle applies.
If that’s what he’s claiming then basically he is saying he can’t be held accountable for his thoughts, words, or actions because he is so easily swayed that almost anyone can lead him to believe almost anything.
Whatever happened to personal responsibility?
