Johnson Upset that Palin and O’Donnell don’t talk to Left-Wing Hatchet Media

September 22, 2010

Another Big!!! Hairy!!! Deal!!! at the Zoo!!!

There are a couple of indisputable facts:

1) The legacy media are hostile to the point of ridiculousness toward anyone who is perceived as a beltway outsider, and no one knows this better than Sarah Palin, who has had to deal with every kind of false accusation imaginable, from the maternity of her child, to false quotes about Russia, to completely fabricated nonsense about banning books. So Sarah Palin has every valid reason to be suspicious of the motives of the legacy media, and every valid reason to be offering this advice to a friend.

2) Unlike when Palin was running for Vice-President, O’Donnell is not running for a national office, and national press coverage is inappropriate. There’s no valid reason for the national legacy media to be interested in her in particular, and no reason for her to be wasting her time on them. Local Delaware media is another matter, but the national media can’t be up to anything good.

So WTF, Chuck?

I don’t blame her. The MSM long ago took off their collective masks and have no qualms showing their open hatred for half the country. ABC/NBC/CBS/MSNBC/NY Times/Washington Post, etc have been propaganda arms for the democrat party since the 70s. They can’t honestly report the news as long as their agendas are front and center.

You’re not playing close enough attention. The MSM has gone to bat for many Republican administrations in the past. Most notoriously for the Reagan administration where the White House Press Corps literally worked for them on bended knee. Chris Matthews was a strong supporter of military action and the Bush administration after 9/11 and in many ways felt a tingle up his leg much like he later did with Obama.

While they won’t compare with Fox News you will find conservative view points in many of the outlets you list. Back in the old days the Washington Post was considered “right wing” by many on the left and today we find:

The Post’s editorial positions on foreign policy and economic issues have seen a definitively conservative bent: it has steadfastly supported the 2003 invasion of Iraq, warmed to President George W. Bush’s proposal to partially privatize Social Security, opposed a deadline for U.S. withdrawal from the Iraq War, and advocated free trade agreements, including CAFTA.

CBS has been increasingly and openly critical of the Obama administration in recent months. Jake Tapper of ABC is a free agent and generally finds a large conservative audience. CNN has been treating the Tea Party with kid gloves after a “rought start” early on. They even go as far as having Pam Geller as a frequent guest.

    I can keep typing.

And Gus isn’t the only one denying that the alphabet soup media lists to the left. It’s a big pigpile now, everyone trying to outdo the last one about how right-wing they all are…

Why don’t we hear Chawuz complain about the complete dearth of Obama press conferences after he uttered the “police acted stupidly” line? Does he think it’s because no one wants to ask the President questions or is it because Obama and his handlers refuse to take (unscripted) questions?

When the press has the power to make or break you, then it is a smart strategy to avoid them when they show a willingness to provide cover for the Democrats while all too eager to go after anyone not possessing the (D) label.

Obama froze out the media in his campaign when the Rev. “Kill Whitey” Wright situation rose its head and did so from then on as it suited him. In fact no one president has frozen out the press to the degree that Obama has in his efforts to control the message. Aside from the odd article here and there they basically take his freeze out without a complaint. Yet when someone uses the same basic strategy that Obama has, it is cause for concern? WTF

The (D) also must follow the Dem/MSM party line or they will also destroy them.

Look how the bastards jump on anyone who makes sense. Johnson hides under his desk and then bans those who disagree. What a pathetic piece of shit.

Almost like skipping a debate on the most popular channel in cable news. But a democrat wouldn’t think about doing something like skipping a debate on a station with a viewpoint opposing their own.
