Shiplord Kirel – another brown noser who used to be a conservative

September 22, 2010

There are still a handful of former conservatives over at the sewage plant who have no integrity and decided that brown nosing a mediocrity such as Porky  is worth selling out their dignity. Shiplord Kirel, Cato the Elder  and Kragar (Proud to be a Kafir) immediately come to mind.

re: #95 brownbagj

Huckabee scares the ever lovin’ crap out of me.

He is a true socon. As a “Christian” I do not want someone like him leading this nation. Again, small government conservative to me means not only fiscal sanity, but also personal liberty.

Huckabee and his ilk are neither. What he would do with a willing Congress is chilling to me.

Like Jerry Falwell and many other religious right figures, Huckabee is a Baptist minister who lost his anchor. This radical departure from Baptist tradition is almost invariably associated with media-based evangelism. Huckabee, for example, was just 21 when he went to work for televangelist James Robison.

Huckabee is a Progressive with a Bible, Herc. I have zero use for him myself.

I despise the man simply because his uses his faux religiosity as a shield for his bigotry and hate. He made a huge mistake giving a career criminal clemency (Maurice Clemmons) who then went across the country to run a family-run criminal organization which ended with the released felon killing 4 police officers. He never admitted it was a mistake on his part, and blamed everyone else for the outrage.

I cannot stand him either. He acted like an anti Mormon bigot back in 2008 and helped get Meghan’s Dad the nomination.

Huckabee has a lot of blood on his hands…

As governor Huckabee commuted and accepted recommendations for pardon for twice as many sentences as his three predecessors combined, in total 1,033 prisoners.[71] Twelve of those had previously been convicted of murder.[72] Huckabee’s pardons and commutations became an issue during the 2008 Republican Primary, with most of the controversy focusing on Wayne Dumond.[73][71] The controversy again received national attention in November 2009 with Maurice Clemmons, who had committed burglary without a weapon, and whom Huckabee commuted his sentence to 47 years making him eligible for parole if approved by the parole board. As factors in his decision, Huckabee cited the unusually long sentence of 108 years for Clemmons, who was 16 at the time, that Clemmons had already served 11 years of jail time, the unanimous decision by the bipartisan state pardon board in Clemmon’s favor, and the original trial judge’s support for clemency.[74][75] After his release in 2000 Clemmons was arrested a number of times for multiple offenses including child molestation and aggravated assault, but was released after prosecutors declined to file charges. On November 29, 2009, four police officers were murdered in Lakewood, Washington, and Clemmons was the only suspect. Following a manhunt for Clemmons, a Seattle police officer shot him dead on December 1, 2009.

Right across the street from where I used to work is the coffee shop that was the site of that mass murder of the four cops.

Of all the things to fault Huck for, being radically conservative isn’t on the list.

It takes a special kind of pathos to throw out your entire values system to follow a bitter blogger.

I’d have more sympathy if they weren’t such assholes about it.
