Johnson Full of Climate Shiite Again

September 26, 2010

Chucky’s very proud of himself. Chucky can cut-and-paste bullshit.

So he links to this insane alarmist site. The linked article is as clear as brewing sewage, and makes the allegation that Terrence Corcoran at the Canadian National Post is confusing a Jones graph with the Mann Hockey stick. No evidence is provided.

What may have confused the pea-brain at “deepclimate” is that Corcoran started out talking about CRU, and then in another paragraph started talking about the Mann hockey stick. Apparently reading comprehension isn’t a prerequisite to being a climate alarmist.

Here’s the paragraph in question (as near as I can tell from the illiterate drool in the deepclimate piece):

But in the hockey stick graph, no such math was involved. The creators of the hockey stick took a thousand years worth of tree ring temperature data, eliminated some of the data from 1960 forward that didn’t support the 1,000-year claim, and then spliced on actual temperature data, without telling anybody what they had done. Then they magically announced they had found a smoking climate graphic that became a global icon for the climate crusade.

That is exactly what Mann did. That’s “Mike’s trick“. That’s “hide the decline“. And it was admired widely in the Climategate memos for its cleverness (while they overlook its dishonesty). Nothing that Corcoran said was wrong, or misleading. The various “investigations” are another matter.

Which brings us back to Johnson. Mr. Johnson, if this climate issue proves nothing else, it proves why you don’t belong in the kiddy pool, let alone the deep end of the grown-up pool. This is one of the most blatant, ignorant examples of cut-and-past blind-following-the-dishonest blogging I’ve seen.

The simple fact is you don’t understand shit from shinola on this issue, and neither does anyone else at your cult. So stick to pictures of windmills or comic books, and leave the science to people who have advanced beyond algebra. You don’t have any animals in your farm who know anything about science, and you’re too dumb to even realize that.

Gus802 the shape shifting weasel calls out a poster who claimed Ann Coulter was once a man for, you guessed it ‘transphobia’: Gus 802 Sun, Sep 26, 2010 2:14:09pm replyquote

Who are you to judge my sense of humor … Fascist.

That’s not humor that’s perpetuating transphobia. Even if she was a transsexual (which she is not) the end result is that it promotes the acceptance that society can discredit and/or denigrate someone because “they used to be a dude.” Ridiculing someone for being transgendered is not acceptable even in the context of the false Coulter meme.

Damn, Gus is awful sensitive about it, ain’t he? I wonder if he is considering getting snipped? They can’t really make a man into a woman, of course. It is just a eunuch with some implants and hormone treatments. Under almost any other circumstance, a person who wanted that done to them would be considered mentally ill. Can you imagine someone wanting to have their right hand amputated because they “didn’t feel that it was really part” of them? No surgeon would do that, and no psychologist or psychiatrist would consider that to be anything other than profoundly disturbed.

Oh, it’s good to know that it’s unacceptable “even in the context” of talking about Ann Coulter. Sounded for a second like Asswhistle was willing to make an exception if the “hate” in question was directed at one of those icky conservatives.

Chunky uncorks another whopper! LOL. What a twit.

This is what happens when you make a sudden 180 on an issue that others have been studying for years and years. You make a fool of yourself, repeatedly.

The thing is, it’s obvious that Chuck doesn’t have the foggiest idea what the issue is, what “Mike’s trick” is, what “hide the decline” means, what the brouhaha over climategate was all about, and he just links to any weirod on the internet who tells him what he wants to hear.

That’s no way to be taken seriously.

Don’t worry. Nobody, Right, Left, or Center, takes Chuckie seriously anymore. He’s completely blown away any credibility he might have once had.

I should also note that if you look at the screenshot, this was put up on July 11, and had 9 clicks and 1 view. I believe that 1 view was Iapyx, taking the screen shot.

Doesn’t seem like the ‘zards are too fascinated by Chucky’s climate rantings, either.

“And it was admired widely in the Climategate memos for its cleverness (while they overlook its dishonesty).”

Dude, extract your head from your anus*. Then maybe you will see that DeepClimate specifically addresses – and debunks – this stupid claim. Oh but I guess your attention span is minimal so you didn’t read beyond a coupla paragraphs. The only dishonesty is yours, flat-earther.

But maybe you’re correct on the minor point of whether or not this constitutes Mike’s trick? Uh, no. Here’s Mann explaining himself:

    http://www.examiner.com/science-policy-in-austin/climatologist-michael-mann-responds-to-cru-hack

“Phil Jones has publicly gone on record indicating that he was using the term “trick” in the sense often used by people, as in “bag of tricks”, or “a trick to solving this problem …”, or “trick of the trade”. In referring to our 1998 Nature article, he was pointing out simply the following: our proxy record ended in 1980 (when the proxy data set we were using terminates) so, it didn’t include the warming of the past two decades. In our Nature article we therefore also showed the post-1980 instrumental data that was then available through 1995, so that the reconstruction could be viewed in the context of recent instrumental temperatures. The separate curves for the reconstructed temperature series and for the instrumental data were clearly labeled.”

And the tree ring data? Briffa’s work, not Mann’s:

“The reference to “hide the decline” is referring to work that I am not directly associated with, but instead work by Keith Briffa and colleagues.”

    * On a second thought, don’t. You’ll stink up the joint.

Cute talking points, but doesn’t have anything to do with the argument. And you obviously don’t understand enough to see that.

They are seriously nutty about global warming; It is not enough to believe in global warming.. Oh no. You have to believe that it is man made. You cannot talk about the medieval warming period, or the little ice age because those either didn’t happen or they are not of statistical importance. The hockey stick graph which used to be a mistake, is now gospel. So you have to believe the revisionist graphs which discount the medieval warming period, even though the rationale for the discounting is due to the supposed lack of information about the southern hemisphere at that time. Therefore, if the northern hemisphere was warm, the southern HAD to be cold because global warming is real, you see….

Any deviation from the official blogs’ stance often result in links that do not have the claimed information, or links to sky-is-falling-dot-com, or just insults and claims of trolling. Global warming is certainly a cult there.

For all their desire to be informed and rational, they are prone to hysteria in some regards.

Gozzo is Chunky? Or is it his pet manque, Lewd Wig?

Either way, it is to laugh. The idiocy and refusal to deal with the real issues of Climategate, while overlooking the myriad damning offenses which got Phil Jones canned, are mondo-mirthful to us staunch Deniers.

Keep on truckin’, Fatty. Just watch out for those hungry polar bears, when you’re out there measuring the ice…
