The sad thing is that a few years back, I’d have paid him. I believed his work was that important. Now, I consider any time spent on his site a loss I’ll never get back. I don’t even think he’s worth the ad impressions and they’re probably 5 bucks a thousand.

So is he going to pass his gains on to his advertisers who are being told there are x number of site hits when …

He’s paid by the number of ad impressions his site delivers. His fee per thousand ad impressions (or CPM as it’s called) will not be very high. He simply won’t be paid the small amount his page views would have earned on the visits where ads are blocked.

The network he’s part of tracks his ad impressions and pays accordingly.

His subscription fee will earn him a lot more than his CPMs per visitor. Can’t say I see much value in subscribing, though, even if one likes the stuff he’s dishing out these days.

“His subscription fee will earn him a lot more than his CPMs per visitor.”

But why would anyone subscribe when there are FREE ways to block ads?
        Hmmmmmmm.
Maybe that’s why he’s purged everyone with an IQ greater than their shoe size.

    Another satisfied customer:

It really works great! Now it only takes ten minutes to load, instead of fifteen. That leaves me more time for wanking, and scanning Democratic Underground for awesome new articles to leave on Charles’s doorstep. (pant-pant)

If Chuk offered karma upgrades (say, um +100 per dollar? – I don’t know what the right price would be honestly), would there be any buyers in Johnsontown?
