Charles Johnson, Traitor?
I wonder if this was another case of The Fatass being misled by Pam, Robert, Mark Steyn, Victor Davis Hanson, Thomas Sowell, Debra Saunders, David Horowitz, Jonah Goldberg, Michelle Malkin and the rest of the conservative cabal that conspired to twist his mind, and succeeded for the better part of 9 years. Hmmm. Very strange.
In November 2009, Little Green Footballs published “Why I Parted Ways With The Right”. That classic tale focused on Charles Johnson, a portly, ponytailed blogger who, after rejection by Pamela Geller, volunteers to be a foot soldier in Transnational Socialist/Jihadist movement. The Un-Mata Hari injected him with “Super Blogger” serum (derived from water, fruit, and Cheetos), producing a flaccid, paranoid, and delusional crank.
BTW- For those wondering just how long this will go on, I’ve got a handful more “memory hole” features ready before the grand finale (which is a surprise, I hope), so we’re nearing the end of the series.
There are quite a few deleted/hidden threads that we could not recover (17 actually, if I counted right), so I’ll probably have another “lost to memory hole” thread where I’ll ask for all your help to at least prove that the threads did exist at one point. Sound fun?

Once again, we are left to wonder why this particular thread was “disappeared.” Is it because he speaks of “the latest evidence of leftist cultural insanity,” a phrase so typical of what he would use today about rightists?
Or is it his statement, “I don’t read comic books anymore?” This would have been credible in 2003 but perhaps not today, given the many threads he has dedicated to comic books in the last year.
I suspect the former, but who knows?
Seems pretty obvious why. His readers and commenters would naturally want Captain America to attack the gov’t while a conservative is in power. Besides villains usually have had a rough childhood or some other trauma so picking on them is unfair.
And as you say it can’t be because he doesn’t read comic books any more since he posts on comic books almost daily.
No this is Charles playing defense once again and literally hiding his previous views sympathetic to sanity so as to minimize embarrassment before his left-wing nutjob readership.
If anyone so much as commented to the same effect on his site now they would be down-dinged in the double digits, be put on immediate special LGF probation with pointed questions from Charles and insults hurled from his sycophants regardless of any other postions on other topics.
