The Julia Child of LGF weighs in

October 15, 2010

Hi Reine (aka Cookbook girl):

A  lot of your old friends are at C2, so you might want to join them, do your self a favor and escape.

    Yikes! What a thread.

Here’s one US rightie wingnut who’s still on board at LGF. Why?

Do I get tired of threads that are constant “Wow, what an idiot!” about right-wing craziness?

Well, yes. Just as I previously would get worn out with threads about Cindy Sheehan or other left-wing craziness. There’s only so many times you can read/write, “Wow, what an idiot!”.

But when there are conversations going on in the threads, LGF has, IMO, the most knowledgeable, intelligent, interesting and generally sane conversations around, whether or not I’m in agreement with the majority on any given topic.

I am treated as respectfully at LGF now, as I was when the focus of LGF attracted more conservatives. Perhaps even more so, actually.

Has Charles’ focus and perhaps some opinions changed over the course of a few years? Yes. And . . . so what? So have mine. And if I’m smart, my opinions will continue change over the remaining course of my life. It’s called “growth”, and “learning”.

The same folks who were so pleased when Charles monitored/moderated the threads to keep out trollish behavior when the blog was full of folks who thought like they do, are now the ones yelling the loudest about their own banning from LGF. And they follow LGF compulsively, and for some really odd reason, hate Charles, LGF, and those of us still registered there, with a deep passion that’s difficult to fathom, and that makes zero sense whatsoever. They have each other via various blogs that have popped up; why not enjoy those relationships, instead of the constant hating of LGF?

    *sigh*

    The Mission:

-To expose and oppose any and all forms of intimidation used to limit the freedom of LGF’s netizens.

-To free as many souls as possible from LGF’s culture of tyranny and suppression.

-To provide counsel to those who have recently escaped, and help reintegrate them back into the free blogosphere.

Translation: Nope- no problems here….the problem must lie with every last person that got banned. It’s all their fault. Yeah…..

say what you like Reine. you are freely associating yourself with people who are the enemies of freedom and goodness. chucky and his band of toadies are skunks.

and no amount of tomato soup in that cookbook of yours will ever rid the stench you’ve acquired
