Ludwig’s Proof of Anthropogenic Global Warming Goes “Poot.”
Self-anointed “Scientist,” resident boor and and sexual fantasy perv LudwigVanQuixote decided that an LGF post attacking Pam Geller was the perfect opportunity to conclude the entire debate about man-made global warming. (Click on the image below to see the video he linked to.)
Yep. Somebody is seriously stupid, Ludwank, so let’s play your game and go back to the classroom, shall we? Here’s a simple visual demonstration of the relativity of the term “parts per million.”
Going back to Lud’s “proof,” here’s another version of the same “experiment” that he touted, as shown on BBC.
First of all, no one is denying that the climate changes, and no one is denying that humans affect climate change. All flora and fauna affect climate change, without a doubt, but they do so on such a microscopic scale as compared to the big players, like the Sun. Locally, the oceans produce the largest amount of greenhouse gases in the form of water vapor by a margin that’s thousands of times greater than that of CO2.
THE EXPERIMENT HAS SERIOUS AND OBVIOUS FLAWS.
The “experiment” was so flawed that even the NOAA took it down. Who woulda thunk? Yet self-proclaimed scientist Ludwank uses it as “proof” of AGW. Pheeew.

Briareus – thanks for finding the WUWT refutation of this and posting it. I thought, when I ran across LewdWig’s post on this the other day, that I’d seen a debunking of it (WUWT’s in fact). The creator of the movie, LGF favorite Peter Sinclair – “award winning graphic artist, illustrator, and animator” (his own self-description) – isn’t a scientist, but that’s okay at LGF as long as one has the ‘correct’ views. Otherwise one is subjected to LvQ’s “argument from authority”. At LGF they aren’t even allowed to reference WUWT – Charles dismisses them as ‘denialists’ – and links to WUWT, ClimateAudit, etc, simply aren’t allowed in the LGF echo chamber.
Interestingly, Sinclair posted this video just four days ago, on October 14, 2010, the same day LewdWig linked to it. I say ‘interestingly’, because the WUWT-debunked BBC video was from December 2009 and WUWT debunked it a week or two after it appeared. So this is all nearly year-old stuff, and thoroughly debunked. Surely Sinclair knows this, so his use of it without any reference at all to the legitimate criticisms of the experiments certainly illustrates the “graphic artist’s” commitment to honesty. LvQ’s breathless endorsement of Sinclair’s BS video and the bogus ‘scientific experiments’ it references, OTOH, probably goes more toward illustrating LewdWig’s competence as a ‘scientist’, not that I’d buy a used car from him either.

Sinclair’s knowledge of physics is as deep as Lood’s. He doesn’t understand what’s wrong withh the “”experiment”. He’s not dishonest, just dense.
Ludwig just repeated this experiment with Miss S.
First he inflated her with compressed air and she was kind of not really into his advances. Next night he blew her up himself and the added carbon dioxide from his exhaled breath really heated her up and she was really into the sex

Yes, this would have been a devastating blow to Ludwank’s credibility, but for the fact that his credibility never existed, from the first time he started spewing nonsense about AGW at LGF. I still think he is one of Fatass’s socks, as they are always together, functioning in tandem, just like when Ludwank banned me.

Yep. The problem with using venus in any example is that it’s ~33m miles closer to the sun. People like rattling it off as ‘zomg look at the co2′ they also forget that the planet has no positive ways to reduce naturally occurring co2, methane, or nitrogen. There’s also the belief that the current state of venus could have been caused by several factors including a hydrocarbon asteroid impact, it didn’t get it’s atmosphere blown off completely when the sun ignited, and so on.
Technically jupiter should have had it’s atmosphere blown off as well when the sun ignited, it’s one of those wtf happened things. At least according to our basic understanding of planetary and solar system formations.
Hell it’s distance to the sun isnt even of significance when discussing it’s current temperature. You have to look at it’s retrograde orbit and surface which appears to have entirely been molten just a few million year ago.
Ask what would cause a retrograde orbit and a entire molten surface?
Venus was most likely hit by a incredibly massive object within the last 5 or 10 million years, it’s entire surface rendered molten and it is only now cooling to a surface temperature of around 500 degrees.
In other words, there is no correlation what so ever between Venus’ climate and Earths.
There’s also that little nagging correlation between pressure and temperature.
Tomorrow, the cage cleaner will show us how to build a perpetual motion machine using his erector set, a pack of Bubble Yum, and a Big Wheel.

Ludwig aint no damned physicist, he made that 100 percent indisputably obvious when he went on his algebra rant. I took 2 years of college credit physics in high school and three more at university. I am no physicist, but I studied enough physics to know physics isnt done with algebra, the mathematics of physics is differential calculus.
The only people who think that algebra is the mathematics of physics are those who have seen physics equations, but never actually studied physics. Algebra alone simply isn’t capable of handling the extremely complex and intangible nature of physics. Does algebra get used in physics, yes, but in a support role, not as the fundamental structural foundation, that role as I said belongs to differential calculus.
Are there global average pressure records kept in the same way as temperature records? Hockey sticks? Pressure proxies to reconstruct pressure over Earth’s history? Is there a trend of global pressure raising in the last 50 years? Why isn’t anthropogenic pressure increase causing panic?
Good question. All I know is that the elusive Global Warming Hockey Puck was discovered some time ago.
