Chuck, the reason you have never seen this amount of racism is because this is not coming from the GOP. It’s the Progressive fear mongering in the black communities that is playing the race card. The election is about Obama’s policies. What you have never seen Chuck, the extent of the rejection of Progressive policies by Americans.

You guys need to learn that this is CJ’s shtick. Whether it was some foot bath installation somewhere, a 9/11 memorial with the wrong design, a green light on the Empire State Bldg, something that he doesn’t like being introduced into the classroom (does he have kids?), someone being released from Gitmo, some veiled antisemitism, racism, misogyny, etc., CJ is appalled, nauseated, disgusted, etc. CJ will sometimes push logic and reason out of the way to dig up the outrage under any rock he can find. We’ve seen it for years. He’s kinda good at it, too.
I’ve thought for some time that CJ might fancy himself as sort of an online entertainer, and is constantly trying to find what he perceives is his perfect audience (or his meal ticket). It would explain his shift. Who knows if he is really that passionate about any of these topics, or ever was. He’s a guy just trying to find a gig. Eddie Murphy started doing kids movies. Gotta pay the bills.

You could be right, Chen. Of course his turn to the extreme left hasn’t helped him financially, near as I can tell. But now he’s stuck with it, as well as watching his once-much-admired blog circle the toilet bowl.
One of his tricks to get traffic was to slam talk show hosts, thinking he’d get a mention on their shows, drive their conservative traffic his way, only to get the hits and since registration wasn’t open, they’d be unable to contest his absurd remarks. Of course, everyone’s caught on to it, so now when he makes his borderline insane statements, the only ones reading him are his echo chamber – who, of course, cheers wildly.

I basically agree with you that he has always been a shrieking chubbo, but I’m far from convinced that it’s a “shtick.” I think the outrage and bile — not to mention the sanctimony — are genuine. Beyond genuine, they are the ESSENCE. The particular object of hatred would seem to be……flexible, almost accidental.
IMO, the only characteristic of an entertainer that he has (as a blogger)is the desire to be center stage, which he possesses to an inordinate degree.

The misogyny I’m seeing is coming from Charles. His absolute blind, personalized hatred for Pam Gellar (the “shrieking harpy”), Sarah Palin, and Christine O’Donnell is nauseating. It’s one thing to disagree with people politically. It’s another to constantly deride their intelligence or call them names like “shrieking harpy.” Even before I was banned I was uncomfortable with Charles’ growing misogyny. As I’ve said before, I suspect that the ratio of women to men has gone way down since the purge began at LGF. It’d be interesting for Kirly to do a study of her list of the banned and blocked to see what percentage were women (like me).

Belafonte led a delegation of Americans including actor Danny Glover, Princeton University scholar Cornel West and farmworker advocate Dolores Huerta that met the Venezuelan president for more than six hours late Saturday and attended his television and radio broadcast on Sunday.
“No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W Bush says, we’re here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people … support your revolution,” Belafonte told Mr Chavez during the broadcast.
“We respect you, admire you, and we are expressing our full solidarity with the Venezuelan people and your revolution.”
The 78-year-old singer, famed for his calypso-inspired music, including the Day-O song, was a close collaborator of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr and is now a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
