What does the future hold for Chuck

Chuck has had a rough couple of weeks. His Guardian debut was a flop and he was exposed as a hypocrite yet again. His paranoia continues to show with his massive conspiracy tale which Ron Paul is the center of. This culminates what has been a bad year with the collapse of his traffic and loss of influence. He has become an internet joke. The Right hates him and the Left doesn’t accept him. Chuck is a lone wolf who begs for money from his dwindling cult members.
My question for everyone is, what does the future hold for Chuck?
My prediction is the Funny Farm!
My guess is he’ll buy a burka and convert.
I picture an intersection in West Hollywood, a fat man wanders aimlessly, muttering the words “shreiking harpy” over and over again as people quickly cross the street trying to get away from the sight and smell of him. Occasionally he stops and yells “I WAS SOMEBODY!”
Or maybe somewhere outside a flat in NYC, ripped tee-shirt, yelling “Hey Gellaaaah! Hey Gellaaaah!”

I’m going to guess he becomes a guest at a local congratulatory hotel, i.e. jail for being under the influence of an illegal substance and required to spend a considerable amount of time in rehab. The Lindsay Lohan Paris Hilton treatment he aint going to get.
He may OD but i dont think that will be the end of him. Even death may not prevent someone as malicious and schizophrenic as chuck from trying to hunt our children in their dreams.
My guess is he’s not going outside of his little playground in any forum that allows a response and where he can’t control what is posted or deleted.
He had the crap beaten out of him at al-Guardian.
Ron Paul is pan-Islamist scum with not even a basic conception of history, but Chuck is Chuck.
There is no Chuck but Chuck, and Asswhistle is his messenger.
It will be interesting to see what effect the outcome of the election has on him. If it is a total rout by the Republicans, and the new House and Senate leadership concentrate on reviving the economy and dealing with our jihadist enemies and don’t engage in any overt “creationist” type activities I think we will see Chuck try to slink back into the good graces of the rightosphere.
Or maybe he’ll just go back to blogging about programming and bicycles. He’d make fewer enemies that way.

His deletion of more and more of his posts prior to his coming out of the closet as a turncoat is a form of self-destruction. He is trying to erase what he once was, but he can never erase the memory of it from his own mind.
The future? Charles is aiming for 1 million updings on his own comments.
He is busy working out how he can translate updings into money, and will hold an auction of his updings.
He will also institute a scheme where people may buy their way back from banning, but they will have to have their nics show in red, to show that they have sinned, and that Charles does not like what they say, and only has them there on sufferance. It will also indicate to the other registered users that they agree with the rednics at their peril.
So, in other words, he wants to be like a medieval pope, selling indulgences.

Why waste one’s money on something so…trivial?
The updings should be a profit mode for fat boy – He should sell the upding for a $1 each and down dings for $2. Then his sycophants would need to PAY to kiss his ass and even more to downding any “troll” activity within the bubble.
I know you read this Chuckles – and you know it to be true – you can get those turnips you call lizards to actually financially support your website! Either that or wait for the collective under Obama to share the glories of the Union with you!

He had some real personal issues with various rightblog proprietors, and in spite, he took to attacking every issue they supported. You can easily gauge what side johnson will take on any issue, say the Juan Williams affair, with ease. What side do most rightblogs take? Johnson takes the other side. Predictably, he calls Williams a bigot, because then, any rightblog supporting Juan is also bigoted (johnson’s fav trope is “guilt by association”).
He thought he was joining the left when it was in ascension: he officially crossed over right about the time Obama was elected, and in full “I hate the rightwing bigots” mode by the inauguration (after attacking Obama repeatedly over the summer).
Unfortunately for johnson, he has the political smarts of harry reid, and be backed the wrong horse. He rode the 9/11 conservative wave to stardom, but jumped off due to personal pique, joining what he thought was a long-time leftist majority, and thought he’d reap the “strange new respect” rewards of former conservatives bashing present conservatives, but the left despises him.
He has a low intellect. He never could write, and never has done much of it. He has no base of principles or beliefs, other than his hatred for the right. Like balloon juice before him, he changed from a nominally right wing blog, nearly overnight to a blog dedicated to bashing the right, and not much else. This doesn’t really hold much interest to anyone, except former fans who are entertained by what nutty thing chucky is saying now (witness this blog and others like it)- the left, his target audience, pretty much totally ignores him, no matter what he does. I don’t recall a single leftwing blog taking notice of his manifesto about why he left the right, nor his NYT profile. They never really have given him much thought, other than to call him an anti-Islamic bigot. Just because he’s attacking his former friends now is no reason for Kos to suddenly embrace him.
For one thing, there’s no value in it. The only conservatives the left embraces when they turn coat is someone who has at least a modicum of talent and respect from _some_ constituency. Frum is a useful idiot to the left because he is an actual writer with a resume and a reputation. Other than make a .gif (which, if you know the facts behind it, was a fraud, btw, he distorted the image, making his point meaningless, well beyond anything to do with the facts in the case) which was never-the-less a good shorthand way of ridiculing Rather.
That’s it. He’s never done anything before, nor since. He had a handy forum (his comments section) where like-minded people could vent and rant and find kindred spirits, and johnson was willing to pay the bandwidth and post headlines and snark that encouraged his crowd. He was arguably the most unhinged and offensive anti-Islamist out there, certainly in the eyes of the left and many on the right.
So he has no reservoir of goodwill from which to draw. His sneering, mean-spirited break from the right means there will never be a time he can return. And since the left will never support or include him, where does that leave him? Sycophants eventually get tired of being a tiny, risible minority, blindly sucking johnson’s dick, while waiting for his mercurial moodswings to swing on them and get them banned, with their valuable commentcount down the tubes, because of one of johnson’s insane whims.
Witness his opening registration. Things have changed over there. And there’s a major problem for anyone with the page refreshes of a few hundred obsessed followers who don’t patronize your ads or pay subscriptions: bandwidth costs. Johnson’s bloated site, with all those bells and whistles takes more bandwidth than your average blog, much more. How is he paying for it? For that matter, how is he paying for his rent?
Something’s got to give. He has the equivalent of a vanity blog dedicated to his psychosis right now, and subsidizing it seems to be getting more and more difficult. If he had a REAL drop-off in hits, it would actually be a blessing, because he could cheaply run that nuthouse and post his rants for eternity. However, the hardcore core of followers who post 1000′s of times a week are costing him big money, make no mistake. We run a big forum ourselves, and the costs are not trivial. This partly explains his testiness about people who argue with him- he’s paying out the nose for them to dis him on his own blog, using the bandwidth that’s breaking him.
There will be a critical mass, when the traffic gets to a point where the empty hits (people not clicking ads, not paying subscriptions) outweigh the income, and he just won’t be able to get the money up to continue paying for his hosting. It will come long before his hits go to zero, in fact, it’s probably very bad right now, as his traffic is still high, and a large percentage of it is people looking in who hate him and will not help him in any way.
There may be a reason you haven’t thought of why he is deleting all his archives: to reduce bandwidth costs, especially on old shit he would rather no one remind him of anyway.
You want to fuck with johnson? Refresh his page 100000 times a day, and encourage others to do so. Hits are what are going to kill him now, empty hits that steal money from his pocket and do nothing to help him in his dilemma. Link to him as much as you can. You aren’t hurting him by not giving him links- eat up his bandwidth and cost him money. Hotlink his images in places where they will get the most exposure (reloads). Blind link his blog like a rickroll, all over the place.
Drain him dry. The sooner he feels the pain, the sooner this canker sore will be gone from the internet, the final flounce, he will go out in a blaze of anger and bitterness, with a final blog post damning everyone.
My god, that will be a sweet plum to savor!

A hearty second to Crash’s comment. Also it should be noted that with regard to the Dan Rather affair, which effectively “made” LGF on a national level, he claimed credit for a story he did not break. He was late to the party on that one, and built off the work of others, and failed to give real credit where credit was due, often giving interviews that implied that he was responsible for the Rather story. When cornered now, he demurs and says “well, many people were involved” when in fact it was Buckhead and Howler at Free Republic who broke this story. And it would not be the last time he would do such a thing. People would bring him stories and he would post them without giving full credit, citing that “he had several sources for the story” rather that give real attribution. The result was that Johnson had a reputation for research and writing that he did deserve and with the departure or banning of those who did the leg work, his deficiencies in both departments became glaring.
Make that did NOT deserve. I’m on a laptop and for some reason the cursor keeps jumping around.

Just one point to mention in his favor: before the great shift he supported Israel (yes, with rude digs at the Palestinians). I will not forget that. Whether by instinct or intellect, it gave him greater credibility with many people. Now, with the leftists taking over, his defense of Israel has all but disappeared and is muted.
Scorn for the Wally aside, his is an interesting blog story: Of what is reputation made? What is a blog forum for? Why does the need for like-mindedness and approbation from anonymous commenters become so important? From the point of view of commenters, is their loyalty to the blog-owner or to the blog space and each other? (I think that in the absence of the ding system it is to each other. Certainly, the Wally has no interesting take on current affairs, no intellectual heft and is entirely and boringly predictable.)
He should run an open thread inviting people to say why they comment.
Al-chuki’s new politics means he must ignore most news concerning foreign policy, especially any defense of Israel.
How new crop of lemmings are not friends of Israel, and the leftists he is trying to woo, hate Israel.
For eight years his site was filled with the events of foreign affairs.
Now, he avoids the topic. Nothing about Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, the Saudis, Israel, the palestinians…nothing. Nothing about Chavez and the Russian nuclear deal…nothing.
And we all know why. It’s because his blessed and saintly Obama is proving to be one of the most inept foreign policy presidents in modern history.

I don’t believe he supports Israel. Israel is not even on his radar any more. He even supports Israel haters like the GZ mosque Imam and even the Muslim Brotherhood while he attacks people who support Israel (Geller, Spencer, EDL). And yes, what happened to all his posts on foreign policy? It’s all about racists and creationists theses days. Lgf is utterly irrelevant now. Well done Chuck.

No, he never had the courage to stand up and be counted to that extent. He made some snarky comments, but he always held back from drawing the obvious conclusions.
I didn’t. The blogs that were pushing the envelope back then were 1389 Blog and Foehammer’s Anvil, not LGF.
And I still do, on my blog, on Blogmocracy, and face-to-face on a regular basis.
Oh, and by the way, I was running an counterjihad email list well before 9-11, before there was any blogosphere to speak of.
One problem. If you give him hits and links you give him ad revenue. You need to drain his bandwidth without taking the ads. what’s needed is a tool to rip his page thousands of times without the ads and and the cookies etc. His crummy photo images are a good target. Hotlink to just the photographs for example.

A great post. Chuckie’s timing on his switching sides was every bit as bad as Arlen Specter’s, both thought they were latching on to a new winning wave. Instead both got bitchslapped, the Dems in PA. didn’t nominate Specter while Chuckie’s new fellow travellers on the Left haven’t embraced him. Both have discovered nobody likes a turncoat, including the side they turn to. And now that thanks to the Obamadisaster the Conservaqtive side is ascendant again, both idiots are left out in the cold. Karma sure is a bitch!

Well that’s not exactly hard to be. Anyone can become an analyst for Al-Jizz, if they can spout the propaganda. Even china has higher editorial standards for both state and ‘independent’ publications and broadcasters, and that’s saying something.
