This is bizarre.
Presumably this is in response to this thread, where there was some discussion in the comments that sort of touches on those themes, but that wasn’t anything close to what was said by any of the characters quoted, nor was doriangrey mentioned, who said most of what was said.
Even those at the bottom of the scientist barrel don’t process information like this. This would be crap even for a journalist.
