Grand Lizardoid Hits Bottom, Diggs

November 20, 2010

Remember the LGF vs. Digg wars of ’07-’08?  Those pesky Diggbats?  Back then, every front page LGF article had a “Digg” button, where lizards were expected to race to submit them and then go to battle with the Bury Brigade.  Oh yeah, it was a huge deal.

Looking back, I had always assumed that it worked as a method to get traffic, and that the constant seething over it was really just to get the lizards to go to work for him.  Even after 8000+ of them, Charles had never actually submitted anything to Digg himself.   Instead, he had the lizards trained to do that. And for the most part, if there was some sort of LGF injustice or lack of digging going on in Diggland, CJ would push the panic button, and off the anti-anti-LGFers went.

Most here probably don’t know this, but I had played a part in this battle, having created a blog to facilitate the “burying”.  I thought it worked well, since the big Digg button went away soon after.  Eventually, I think the emergence of other platforms like twitter and facebook began to overshadow Digg’s significance anyway.  In any case, the Digg stuff is long forgotten at this point.

Or is it?

‘Cause imagine my surprise to discover that, yesterday, CJ actually logged into Digg, filled in the little title and comment field, selected an image, and submitted The Pamela Geller Rant Generator as his very first Digg submission (and the first LGF submission of any kind in over a month).

Unfortunately, the tactic didn’t appear to do a whole lot. All day it sat over there, and not a single Digg or comment.  That was, until I stumbled upon the sad sight:

ROTFLMAO…. Charles has totally sunk to this level… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxWJd3w3QPs

I kinda had a feeling that he WAS the Pamela Gellar Rant Generator. No one else obsesses over her like that. I’ll take this as confirmation. And yes, it is sad.

Off topic, but since we love the Greek myth theme for our nics here, I wish one we HAD a Nike. Since she’s the goddess of victory, I think Princess Natasha should grab herself an alter ego.

Albusteve was feverishly licking Fatass-butt when I was in the brief process of being isolated and banned. I haven’t followed any idiotic threads there since, except to laff at the excerpts here, but I like seeing turds like this one getting flushed by the Fatass. :)

I think Charles is cruel. According to his posts, Albusteve recently had a leg amputated with subsequent complications. The LGF community has been quite supportive of him. A banning could set back his recovery.

He is trying todo to Pam, what he was unable to do to Beck.

Charles is attempting to regain some kind of blog legitimacy by bring someone down, akin to Rathergate.

The difference this time, his posters are not as sharp, he is an imecile, and there is no fire where he is blowing smoke out of his ass.

Timeout? Really?? The wholly ineffectual tactic of your standard, self-esteem pushing lib parent. Why am I not surprised that such a “punishment” is used on a far-left board like LGF.

It is hard for me to imagine an adult letting another putative adult put him or her on timeout, period. I’d log back on one more time to give a final “Fuck You!” to Chuckles, but damn, after all IceWeasel has done it is hard for me to see anything you could do that is over the top. Except disagree with the HiveMind, of course.

He’s going to have to wait until he’s let out of the box to do that.

What I want to know is what will it take for Chuck to put Ludwig in the box? After that last diary, if that doesn’t get him censure, I can’t imagine what will. I hear rumors that weaselcreature isn’t pleased.

It was not initially clear whether I was on “delete/timeout” or “delete/ban” when I walked away. As soon as the “delete” part kicked in, I walked over here and over to zombie’s and posted “Your Last Posting,” re-posted downthread.

That made it “delete/ban/global delete” without a doubt.

      • November 21, 2010 at 8:25 pm | #20

A key mark of maturity is to refrain from following in the footsteps of the unworthy.

If somebody tried to give me a “timeout” anywhere, that’s the last they’d ever see or hear of me. We have the freedom to vote with our feet, our wallets, and our keyboards, and stop giving power over us to people who do not deserve it.

Update: CJ has two up now, as he has submitted his “green lantern” thread to digg as well.

I’d say that we could put up an RSS feed for it if we wanted, but I don’t know if they’re even worth burying anymore.

The reason why is that he can’t monitor who’s doing the digging at digg like he can monitor who’s doing the dinging at LFG. They don’t care about promoting Chuck at digg, they’re just karma addicts.

Shows that he SO has nothing going on his life – he’s on his blog 24/7. In days of yore, his comments were few and far between, and then always pithy and usually requesting a dial back on some heated rhetoric. I always thought it was because he preferred to stand above and just watch a discussion evolve. Now, of course, I have come to the conclusion that he was nowhere near as intelligent as his audience and didn’t want to give himself away. Now, of course, he’s surrounded by morons who think he’s as erudite as Charles Van Doren.

IOW, it’s better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you’re an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt.

I can think of a few of his more activelizards who would do well to consider that, as well.

      • November 21, 2010 at 8:21 pm | #34

        That always bothered me.

When it comes to the counterjihad, WE NEED heated rhetoric to break through all of the tranzi-progressive/pro-jihadi propaganda that the public has been drowning in.

Just in case people are wondering where the term “Mad King Yertle,” which a certain bloatboy has tried to metamorphose into “Mad King Charles,” comes from:

    Your Last Posting
    (Los Angeles)

–apologies to Robert Browning and “My Last Duchess”

That’s your last posting ever on this blog,

And henceforth your account is blocked. You’ll dog

My site no further with your words; your nic

Is banished, and I gave your posts the stick.

You know I’ll call your banning here a “flounce”
Though I’ve been waiting for some time to pounce
On your account, and with prevarications
    Distort and demonize your observations.
The Toad Hall where you reveled, if you please’ll
Be given entire to the stoats and weasels,

My countenance beaming on each one that
Comes to me bearing tales of Mole or Rat,

Or Badger, or…sockpuppet. No, ‘t was not

This writing only, placed you on the spot

And caused me to invoke the ban: perhaps

You chanced to differ with my own claptrap
And stick to your position, or dispute
    Conventional wisdoms to which repute

I’ve lately granted. Don’t you dare to say

That I or my site might have lost their way
    Obsessing on my personal vendettas;

I am neither forgiving nor forgetter,

And will not brook a failure of obesiance

By anyone I feel owes me allegiance.
Yes, I took Rather down, on grounds that he
    Could not support what he claimed factually;
But now I set my sights at lower bar
(On personalities, not things that are)
While I squat ‘midst the wreckage I have made
Like mad Kurtz ruling from his bush stockade,
Ringed ’round with skulls. For I no longer deign
To weigh a fact itself; instead, maintain

That source determines truth, and to that end
The nature of veracity I bend,
Citing to midden-heaps of rankness such

That I would not long since have scorned to touch.

A turtle is a lizard in a shell,
And I, lord of my self-created hell

Remain King Yertle of the Turtle Stack

Exalted on my Posting Turtles’ backs–
Yet conscious, as I proclaim my renown

It’s just posting turtles, all the way down,

Which is why I respond with rage and fear

Should anyone mouth what I deem a sneer

Or contradiction. So I flip a switch,
And all posts stop together, with a bitch

Given reign of my elegant designs.

Yet, if I still retained but half a spine

I would despise appearing to be led

As I now seem to, by the lesser head.

Hark! Look you! See how Glenn Beck weeps!

Do you not loathe the company he keeps
Regardless of whatever he might say?
    Here is the global warming word today;

Do not dissent, the banning stick is toward
I care for no voice save that of accord!

Chuck is now doing what he used to mock the Ron Paul crowd for. We ought to publicize his astroturfing campaigns, including the attempt to sabotage Pamela Geller’s book sales on Amazon.

      Here’s a nice one.

      Kathleen Minde says:
I believe in free speech, but I cannot support the hateful venom this woman spews. I have seen her blogs-they are rambling racist diatribes that have no basis in fact. Again I ask, why does this woman have a page on Amazon? Hitler published a book but he doesn’t have an Amazon page. If Paypal can block her because of her hateful site, then so can Amazon.

I think that would take more net foo than Chuck has. The only realistic way to do that is to make the accounts require cookies that set off the anti-malware alarms.

I could actually see him doing that too, telling all his munchkins to ignore the warning and accept the cookie. And they’re so dumb/addicted, they’d do it, too.
