In Defense of Charles Johnson
“In Defense Of Charles Johnson” is a phrase I never thought I’d utter.
One of the recurring themes at Little Green Footballs has to do with 
threats Charles has received over the years. The few examples he’s posted are dopey emails of the “You Are A Poopee Weenie Head” type. Most of us snickered at the supposed death threats that he mentions from time to time yet he’s never posted anything to back up his claim.
It turns out that Charles’ claims may have some legitimacy. (Look at that ————>
but don’t click on it yet. We’ll tell you when.)
First, let’s discuss the term “stalker.” In Charles Johnson/LGF terms, stalkers are evil obsessed bottom-dwellers who have no conscience and live solely to make the “stalkees” miserable and paranoid by reading a blog they dislike and commenting on its false importance and ongoing inanity. That describes The Boiler Room Crew pretty well (except for the part of stalking that involves forcefully striking a BRC Engineer squarely between the shoulder blades to dislodge the foosball he swallowed while washing it).
The real world definition of “stalking” is a bit more brutal than coughing up unwashed foosballs. BRC Engineer No. 8 discovered and forwarded a cache link that we won’t post here. There are some very nasty types out there who really hate Charles Johnson, at least they did in April 2008. Here are two snippets, with personal information blacked out.
We have no problem confirming that one of the commenters on that thread from 26 April 2008 was this guy. What a piece of neonazi shit, as if there were any other kind. Now go back up to that funny little bar at top right and click on it to read the entire thread if you want.
The people on that forum are dangerous nasty, and if anyone from LGF is lurking here, including you, Charles, rest assured that The BRC won’t play that game. Never have, never will. This blog is intended for fun childish mockery only. Now go piss up a rope.

I remember this…..as I recall Charles stated that they got his address wrong. Of course, he could have just been saying that to throw them off the scent…..
I remember this episode as well. Charles did say they had wrong info but the nazi guy had other supporting documents. It was pretty bad, but no one told Charles to blog under his own name. Allah, Ace and quite a few on the other side of the political aisle like Digby and Atrios use pseudonyms. I am glad nothing came of it but really, who cares anymore. Charles has stated many times that he has a gun (in California!) and called the FBI, he will be fine. The odds of him getting killed at a 7-11 late at night, by a stranger are probably higher. Those late night trips to gas station convenience stores should be avoided.

Naw, he started that in summer/fall of ’07 around the time he had his split with Pam. Ironically after his personal info was outed by KKKilgore’s Stormfront buddies- Chunk starting doing the exact same thing to former lizards and sending out his sycophants like Wide Irish Road to threaten people on other blogs.

This is not new news. I know the link, it’s been floating around for a long while, and in my opinion these folks were no more capable of carrying out their idle threats then a bunch of 1st graders. I’ll keep the “backstory” off of here… but these guys are all hot air and bluster and normally don’t get any further with their “plans” then to get into their pick-em-up trucks and pass out at the wheel.
Yes Charles gets threats. I’ve gotten threats just because I was posting at LGF… most of these sorts are like the chicken-shits bullies on the schoolyard.
I agree Crankypants this thread shouldn’t scare anyone. Maybe a paranoid fat dumpling man, but not your average joe. Besides, chunk engages in enough ad hominem to get people riled up anyway. It doesn’t excuse this tirade against him, but to curl up into a pasty little ball and feign innocence after all the shit he pulls is retarded.
His public exchanges with AB come to mind. He tugged his pud as hard as he could to try and make AB look bad, and feel bad. It was quite public and he used the full power of his blog to try and smear him. I could see how someone might take offense to such a thing.
What amuses me is that as this thread was being edited and posted, you coincidentally left a comment downstairs referring to them.
Charles has stated that his worst threats have come from the right wing.

Is there a history of Charles calling Bill White a rightwinger? I can’t remember. It’s very confusing. This guy is calling Chuck a Bolshevik.
He called Chunk a neo-con, so it’s clear White self-identifies himself as being a radical-leftist.
But Chuck is very adamant that all Nazi’s are right wing. (Wrongly, I know) And this guy calls Chuck a neocon-Bolshevik which is a bit of a contradiction in terms as well.

Interesting thread. Now anyone with some Google-fu and a little common sense could use the “clues” on this thread to locate Charles’ home address, phone number and a lot more info connected with that address… such as his parents name, other family members name, value of property etc.

Even if Bill White’s neo-naziism could be called extreme right, that’s very different from conservative. So if Charles actually does say that he’s an example of the worst threats coming “right wing”, it’s at least misleading.

Actually, I thought the term referred to previous liberals who had turned conservative in the wake of 911. I could be wrong but if that is the case the label would be more than apt.
The original use of “neoconservative”, I think, was for leftists who turned conservative at an earlier time, around the 1970′s.
I know the left was quite fond of calling GWB a neocon, pretty sure he was never liberal…….but then again he wasn’t exactly what I’d call a true conservative either.

Neocon is a buzzword used by leftists to describe Jews who vote Republican. Even Rush has made that point, and it fits with the neonazi mantra.
They are calling them Israel Firsters now because they support pro Israel foreign policy, but it has a deeper hurtful meaning for Jews when used by Jews. Just read about it in an article by Spencer “just call them racist” Ackerman.

The ACLU actually acted on his behalf and got a judge to release him on First Amendment grounds in April 2011.
His lawyer maintains that Sarah Palin’s congressional target map was a bigger provocation to violence than anything Mr. White posted online.
